Cover work for 2ARP & 2SEJ, Thurs 14/3/2013

posted 14 Mar 2013, 00:50 by Tim Jefferis   [ updated 14 Mar 2013, 00:53 ]

I am away again today, I'm afraid. We will continue with the fact-finding about Brazil next lesson. This lesson I would like you to open Geog.2 and read pages 116 and 117.

Then have a go at questions 1-5 on page 117. Remember to take care over your graph, make sure you leave enough space for it, use a ruler and start in pencil...!

Books are at the front (still unmarked I'm afraid!) These questions need to be finished for prep and handed in next week.

Brazil in facts and figures

posted 10 Mar 2013, 14:15 by Tim Jefferis   [ updated 10 Mar 2013, 15:00 ]

You are going to use the internet to research some basic facts and figures about Brazil. Before embarking on this task think about how you know if things are true that are posted on the internet. Here is a useful resource for exploring some of these issues. You might like to try this online pregnancy test which illustrates the problems nicely. Or even Peter's answers!

Now:
  1. Open this document.
  2. Make a copy of it.
  3. Put your name in the top right and corner.
  4. Wait for TJJ to tell you what to do next.

Under the title 'Palin's Brazil' write a brief summary of what you have just seen.
Now turn to pages 112 and 113 in Geog.2. Read the pages and then answer questions 1-5 on page 113.
